SR4 Rooftop Electric Air Conditioner (12V / 24V)
The SR4 is our most popular compact rooftop electric air conditioner for smaller cabins and tighter spaces. It’s a great fit for small trucks, camper vans, caravans, boats, and all sorts of machinery like loaders, excavators and dozers.
It’s a cooling-only rooftop system using modern variable-speed inverter compressor technology instead of old fixed-speed rotary compressors.
Because the compressor can change speed to suit the load, it uses far less power, runs much quieter, and is far easier on batteries than older designs. In normal operation these units are extremely quiet — in many setups you barely hear them running once the cabin has cooled down.
Why SR4?
- Available in 12V or 24V
- Compact, low-profile rooftop design
- Variable-speed inverter compressor
- Single 300mm high-output fan (quiet and efficient)
- Can be used while parked or while driving (many rooftop units are park-only)
Compressor & Operating System
The SR4 uses the latest variable-speed inverter compressor technology. This is not the old-style rotary compressor that runs at 6000 RPM all day and flattens batteries in an hour or two.
Instead, the compressor speed changes automatically depending on how much cooling is needed. When the cabin is hot, it runs faster. As the temperature comes down, it slows itself down and power consumption drops with it.
Typical operating speeds:
- Low: approx. 1500 RPM (holding temperature / low load)
- Medium: approx. 3000 RPM (normal cooling)
- High: approx. 4500 RPM (fast pull-down on hot starts)
This is modern A/C technology and it’s the reason these units can run for long periods without destroying battery systems.

Being on the road in Perth's scorching summers has always been a challenge. After installing this rooftop air conditioner, it's been a game-changer. The quality is top-notch, and the price didn't break the bank. Kevin was incredibly helpful throughout the process, going out of his way to ensure everything was set up correctly. It's rare to find such dedication and service these days. Highly recommend to any fellow truckies out there.
We struggled to find someone who actually new what they were talking about Tuck knows his stuff and the AC we got for our camper is far better than expected we couldn’t be happier with our purchase.
Put one of these on our truck it cools really good can’t run it on full it’s to cold good problem to have. If you are looking for a air con these are definitely worth the money.
We brought this for our 3 Ton truck Kevan was very helpful all the way to the end very happy with it.
