Frequently asked questions
Do push-lock hose ends need clamps?
No, the barbs and the hose grip on their own when the hose is pushed all the way on. They are not designed for high-pressure EFI feed lines though.
Can you use hose clamps on braided fuel line?
Not on the stainless braid. Braided hose needs proper AN hose ends to seal and hold pressure. Clamps are for push-lock or plain rubber hose.
Do AN fittings need thread tape or sealant?
No. The seal is made on the 37 degree flare, not the thread, so keep tape and sealant off the AN side. Only the NPT (tapered pipe) end of an adapter needs sealant.
