Frequently asked questions

What size fuel line do I need for my horsepower?
As a rough guide on petrol EFI: AN6 is good to around 500 hp, AN8 to around 800 hp, AN10 beyond that. E85 needs about 30 percent more fuel, so go up a size if you are running it.

How do I tell what size my AN fitting is?
Measure the outside of the male thread and match it to the size chart above. For example, 9/16" (about 14.3 mm) across the thread is AN6, and 3/4" (19 mm) is AN8.

Do AN fittings need thread tape or sealant?
No. The seal is made on the 37 degree flare, not the thread, so keep tape and sealant off the AN side. Only the NPT (tapered pipe) end of an adapter needs sealant.
