Frequently asked questions

Which flare does AN hard line need?
AN tube nuts and sleeves need a 37 degree single flare. Brake systems usually use a 45 degree double or bubble flare. They are not interchangeable.

Can I flare stainless line?
Soft steel, copper-nickel and aluminium flare easily. Stainless is much harder and needs a proper hydraulic or production tool.

Do I need to deburr the tube?
Yes. Cut square, deburr inside and out, and slip the tube nut on before you flare.
