Hard Line to AN Fitting, Tube Nut and Sleeve AN4 AN6 AN8 AN10 AN12

Turn aluminium or steel hard line into an AN connection. Flare the tube at 37 degrees, slip on the sleeve and nut, and it screws onto any male AN fitting.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use a 45 degree flare tool?
No. AN fittings need a 37 degree flare. A 45 degree (SAE) flare will not seal properly.

What size is an AN6 fitting? Is 6AN the same as 3/8?
Yes. AN6 (also written -6 or 6AN) suits 3/8" (9.5 mm) hose or tube and uses a 9/16"-18 thread. The dash number is the size in sixteenths of an inch, so AN6 = 6/16 = 3/8".

Do AN fittings need thread tape or sealant?
No. The seal is made on the 37 degree flare, not the thread, so keep tape and sealant off the AN side. Only the NPT (tapered pipe) end of an adapter needs sealant.
