What size are the 4L80E cooler line fittings?
The 4L80E case uses a 1/4" NPS straight thread at the cooler ports. These adapters convert that to AN6 or AN8 male so you can run braided lines to your cooler.

Do AN fittings need thread tape or sealant?
No. The seal is made on the 37 degree flare, not the thread, so keep tape and sealant off the AN side. Only the NPT (tapered pipe) end of an adapter needs sealant.

How tight should AN fittings be?
Snug them up by hand, then about a quarter turn with a proper AN spanner. Aluminium fittings do not need much. Over-tightening can crack the flare.
