Where should I mount an external fuel pump?
Low and close to the tank, below the fuel level if you can, so the pump is fed by gravity. Keep it away from exhaust heat.

Will this fit a 044 style pump?
Yes, if the pump body is 50 mm across. Measure your pump or filter before ordering.
