Frequently asked questions

Where should the fuel pressure regulator go?
On a return-style EFI system, after the fuel rail: fuel goes pump, filter, rail, regulator, then returns to the tank from the regulator return port.

What fuel pressure should I run?
Most port injected EFI engines run around 43 psi (3 bar) base pressure. Check your injector and ECU spec. Carbies need far less, usually 5 to 7 psi.

What does ORB mean, and how is it different to AN?
ORB is O-Ring Boss: a straight thread port that seals with an O-ring, common on fuel pumps, regulators and filters. AN seals on a flare instead. An ORB to AN adapter lets you run AN hose to an ORB port.

What size fuel line do I need for my horsepower?
As a rough guide on petrol EFI: AN6 is good to around 500 hp, AN8 to around 800 hp, AN10 beyond that. E85 needs about 30 percent more fuel, so go up a size if you are running it.
