Will it fit a 50 mm pump?
Not without packing. Measure your pump body, this bracket is made for 60 mm. We also sell a single 50 mm bracket.

Should I put rubber between the clamp and the pump?
Yes, a wrap of rubber strip stops pump buzz travelling into the car and stops the pump slipping.

Where should an external pump be mounted?
Below and close to the tank or surge tank outlet, so the pump is fed by gravity and does not have to suck fuel uphill.
