Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between AN and NPT?
AN seals on a 37 degree flare and has a straight thread. NPT is a tapered pipe thread that seals on the thread with sealant.
Do I use thread tape on the NPT side?
Yes, use thread sealant or tape on the NPT thread only. Never on the AN flare side.
