Worth knowing: the OBD port is live even with the ignition off, so anything left plugged in draws current. If the vehicle sits for weeks at a time, unplug it or you will come back to a flat battery. Two devices talking on the same CAN bus can also conflict — if you get odd readings, run them one at a time to find the culprit.
