How do I know if my indicator socket is gone?
If the globe is good but the blinker flickers, works only when you tap the lens, or the socket looks brown and melted, it's time for a new socket.

Do I need to cut wires to fit these?
Usually not. Unplug the old socket at the connector and plug these in. If the loom-side plug is also burnt, cut it back to clean copper and solder or crimp the new leads in.

Will this suit an LED globe?
Yes, the socket takes the standard globe. LED globes may need a load resistor or LED flasher relay to stop hyper flashing.
