Which type do I need?
Look at the back of your speaker mic. Type 1 suits a handpiece with a round stud or button on the back. Type 2 suits a handpiece with a belt clip on the back.

Will it fit my handheld UHF?
The radio side clips over the belt clip of most common handhelds. Check your radio has a standard belt clip on the back.

Will the suction cup hold on a textured dash?
Suction works best on a smooth, clean surface. On a heavily textured dash, stick down a smooth dash disc first so it holds properly in the heat.
