Frequently asked questions

What size is a turbo oil feed line?
Most turbos use an AN4 oil feed. Ball bearing turbos often need a restrictor in the feed, so check your turbo maker's spec.

How do I tell what size my AN fitting is?
Measure the outside of the male thread and match it to the size chart above. For example, 9/16" (about 14.3 mm) across the thread is AN6, and 3/4" (19 mm) is AN8.

Do AN fittings need thread tape or sealant?
No. The seal is made on the 37 degree flare, not the thread, so keep tape and sealant off the AN side. Only the NPT (tapered pipe) end of an adapter needs sealant.
