Will the sandwich plate fit my engine?
The kit comes with M20 x 1.5 and 3/4-16 UNF adapters, which cover most Japanese, Holden and Ford engines. Check your oil filter thread.

Does an oil cooler need a thermostat?
It is a good idea on the street so the oil warms up quickly. This kit does not include one.
