Does your Toyota have factory steering wheel buttons?

This wheel is available two ways, and you need to pick the right one:

  • For vehicles already fitted with factory steering wheel controls
  • For vehicles that do not currently have steering wheel controls

Already have buttons

Straightforward install. Works with compatible Toyota OEM stereos and most aftermarket head units that support steering wheel controls.

Don't have buttons

You'll need a Clock Spring and Magic Harness for the buttons to work. If you select this option when ordering the wheel, those parts are included – don't buy them separately.

Only buy a Clock Spring or Magic Harness on its own if you're upgrading an existing wheel and don't already have them.

Build time and shipping

Allow approximately 3 weeks for production before dispatch. Flat-rate freight $34 Australia-wide. Tracking supplied once your order ships.

Installation

Reasonably straightforward for anyone mechanically minded. Your factory airbag is reused – the original airbag detonator transfers across during installation.

Where applicable, cruise control can be moved off the old side stalk onto the face of the wheel, which looks tidier and puts it within easy reach.

Are these genuine Toyota parts?

No. These are premium aftermarket steering wheels and are not manufactured by Toyota.

Will my factory airbag fit?

Yes. Your factory airbag is reused during installation.

What vehicle details do I need to provide?

Your Toyota model, year, transmission type, and whether your vehicle currently has steering wheel buttons.

Will this work with my factory Toyota stereo?

In most cases yes, if your vehicle already has factory steering wheel controls. Aftermarket stereos must support steering wheel control inputs.

Can I install this if my vehicle doesn't have steering wheel buttons?

Yes – select the option for vehicles without factory buttons. You'll need the Clock Spring and Magic Harness for the buttons to work with a compatible aftermarket head unit.

What does the Magic Harness do?

It allows the steering wheel controls to communicate with compatible aftermarket head units.

Do I need an aftermarket stereo?

If you're adding steering wheel controls to a vehicle that never had them, yes – a compatible aftermarket stereo is required.

How long does production take?

Approximately 3 weeks before dispatch.

Does it come with a Toyota badge?

No. Steering wheels are supplied without a badge or emblem.
