This is our premium 12V Heating + Cooling kit, designed for hot rods, classics, and vintage builds needing year-round comfort. Uses a fully electric 20mL variable-speed compressor and a heater core integrated into the evaporator.

No engine belts, no pulley load – just electric power. Run full A/C even at idle, and use your engine’s coolant to supply natural heat in winter.

How the Heating Works

The evaporator includes a proper heater core built in. To get heat into the cabin, simply run two heater hoses:

  • Hot coolant feeds into the heater core from your engine or radiator
  • Return coolant hose goes back into your engine

That’s it. When the engine warms up, hot coolant flows through the heater coil and delivers cabin heat just like a factory setup – no electric elements, just real engine warmth.

Power Draw & Alternator Advice

  • System draws approx. 40–45 amps under full load
  • Draw reduces as the cabin cools (inverter slows the compressor)
  • Check that your alternator can handle: vehicle load + 45A + margin for charging
  • We can supply high-output alternators if required

Works better than expected

We brought one of these from Tuck who was very knowledgeable and helpful. After installing it into our Landrover we were pleasantly surprised the performance cooling is very good if you’re thinking of getting one of these we recommend it.

Better than expected

Kev was spot on—didn’t have to swap out the alternator, which was a bloody bonus! Quality is actually better than we expected, and we chucked it in our Falcon show car. Looks like it came from the factory that way. Cooling is top-notch too, no dramas there. Kevin was a legend, super helpful, and really knows his stuff—hard to find service like that these days. Would definitely recommend this air con!
