N70 Hilux Steering Wheel – Built to Order, Fits 2004–2015
A custom aftermarket steering wheel to suit the Toyota Hilux N70 that bolts straight on, keeps your factory airbag, and adds steering wheel buttons and cruise control on the wheel – even if your Hilux never had them. Premium leather, real carbon fibre or piano black, with your choice of stitching. Not a hydro-dipped copy.

Does your Hilux already have steering wheel buttons?

The buttons control volume, track, source, mute and phone answer/hang-up. Cruise control moves from the old stalk onto the wheel.
Running a Pioneer, Kenwood, Sony, JVC or Alpine?
These stereos use a different steering wheel plug to Android units, so the harness won't plug straight in. It's a five-minute job behind the stereo:
- You'll need a 3.5 mm steering wheel patch lead to suit your stereo.
- Cut the steering wheel plug off the end of our harness and the plug off the patch lead.
- Join black to black. That's the earth.
- Join the remaining two wires together. It doesn't matter if the colours don't match.
- Plug the 3.5 mm end into the steering wheel input on the back of the stereo, then set up the buttons in the stereo's menu.

Do I need a clock spring?
Only if your Hilux never had steering wheel buttons. The factory 10-pin clock spring on a no-button ute doesn't carry the button wiring; the 12-pin one in the "without buttons" option does. If you already have a wheel and just need the parts, the 10-pin to 12-pin adapter harness and Plug & Play harness are sold separately.

Stitching in black (factory look), red (sport) or grey. Choose round bottom (factory shape) or flat bottom (sport, more leg room) in the Material & Wheel Shape dropdown – same price either way. Supplied without any logo or badge.
Installing it
An hour or so for a mechanically minded owner. Disconnect the battery, unbolt the airbag, undo the centre nut, swap wheels, transfer the airbag. The "without buttons" kit adds the clock spring swap and plugging the Magic Harness into the stereo. Any auto electrician can do the whole job.

Frequently asked questions
Will this fit my 2011 N70 with the factory airbag?
Yes. Every N70 from 2004 to 2015. Your factory airbag bolts into the new wheel.
Will my factory steering wheel buttons still work?
Yes – with the "already have buttons" option your existing buttons and clock spring carry across.
My Hilux has no buttons. Can I add them?
Yes. Order the "without buttons" option. It includes the 12-pin clock spring and Magic Harness so the buttons and cruise work with a compatible stereo.
Will the buttons work with my Pioneer / Kenwood / Android head unit?
Yes, as long as the head unit has a steering wheel control input – nearly all aftermarket units do. Android plugs straight in. Pioneer, Kenwood, Sony, JVC and Alpine need the plug changed and a 3.5 mm patch lead – see the Pioneer section above.
Does cruise control work?
Yes. On a Hilux that has cruise on the stalk, it moves to the buttons on the wheel. It won't add cruise to a Hilux that never had it.
Do I need a new clock spring?
Only if your Hilux had no buttons. See the table above.
Is it a straight bolt-on? Any cutting?
Straight bolt-on. Same spline as the factory wheel, factory airbag reused, no cutting.
Does it come with a logo or badge?
No. The wheel is supplied without any logo or badge.
Leather or piano black – what's the difference?
Same wheel, different inserts: leather all the way round for grip, or gloss black inserts top and bottom for looks. Carbon fibre is real carbon inserts.
Is it genuine Toyota?
No. It's a premium aftermarket wheel built to order. Tucks Performance is not affiliated with Toyota.
How long to build and ship?
Built to order – allow about 3 weeks, then $34 flat-rate tracked freight Australia-wide. Every wheel is checked in Pimpama before it leaves. Freight only – no pick-up on wheels, as they're made to order.
